История
Группа THE ALCHEMY была образована в августе 2007 года Dark Dem (музыка, аранжировка, клавиши, концепт) и Serpent (IN THY DAMNATION, скриминг, бас, лирика, концепт). Решение собрать новый коллектив, который бы стал новой конкуретноспособной творческой единицей множеству метал-команд Казахстана, родилось внезапно, в тот момент, когда IN THY DAMNATION записывали на студии Dark Dem свой материал. Обсудив все моменты, музыканты решили, что новоявленная группа не будет ограничивать себя каким-либо рамками и условностями, а будет работать сообразно музыкальному мировоззрению всех участвующих в ней музыкантов. В качестве вокалистки в новый коллектив пригласили Christele, юное дарование с великолепным оперным голосом, который так был нужен новобразованному метал-коллективу. Гитаристами новой группы стали Nightfire, ранее игравший вместе с Dark Dem и Ram Nospheratu (IN THY DAMNATION). Позднее к группе присоединился ударник — Unholy Massacre, который также является активным участником IN THY DAMNATION. Назвав группу THE ALCHEMY (хотя в вариантах «ходили» и MER DE NOIR, и TEARS OF LUNA), ребята приступили к созданию материала и записи оного в качестве демо-диска. Материал получался на редкость разностилевым и многомерным. Коллектив вместо привычного готик-метала, которого все как раз и ждали, выдавал дум, классический рок в стиле SCORPIONS, трэш, блюз и даже эмбиент, при этом, конечно, не забывая и о многострадальном готик-метал… Описывать музыку THE ALCHEMY не имеет смысла… хотя, можно сделать это словами одного из поклонников коллектива: «Звучание группы весьма интересно и многогранно: здесь необычно соседствуют готик-метал, хэви и дум, ломаная, порою безумная ритм-секция, меланхолия, надежда и совершенно уникальный вокал Christele, вынимающий душу… Название группы говорит само за себя — The Alchemy, «Алхимия» — подобно мудрецам древности, музыканты коллектива умело превращают ноты и гаммы в красивые песни… Слушайте The Alchemy, внимайте шёпоту осени, меланхолии сентября и ранам открытого сердца…" В данный момент THE ALCHEMY — это: Dark Dem — клавиши, музыка, аранжировка, концепт
Christele — вокал, оперный вокализ
Serpent — бас, скриминг, лирика, концепт
Nightfire — гитара, акустическая гитара, соло-гитара
Ram nospheratu — гитара, гроулинг
Unholy Massacre — ударные
